February was… a lot. 0/10 do not recommend.
While the harassment I’ve been detailing for months continues to escalate (now strangers are claiming I’ve done the, direct harm and that “PickMe” truly is a racist/misogynistic slur while coming for my writing gig in the name of fandom), I also got… a lot done?
Like anxiety spiraling as creeps on the internet try to destroy your life over shipping really does make you get shit done. Who would’ve thought the sleepless nights were good for something!)
For Teen Vogue, I had three pieces come out:
- Who Actually Gets to “Escape” Into Fandom?
- On Fanfiction, Fandom, and Why Criticism Is Healthy
- Netflix’s “Ginny & Georgia” Plays Oppression Olympics — But Nobody Wins
I’m also reviewing music over here.
And everything I scheduled for February got posted – and so did some bonus content.
Same goes for Patreon. I actually posted everything I wanted to post for February on here and it’s all VERY quality content!
For March, I’m keeping to a small schedule for both. eight things on my site, eight things on Patreon. I’ve got articles lined up for my Teen Vogue column, more music reviews in the tank, a potential Polygon piece, and so so much writing on my next book(s?) – one book is contracted, the other is hopefully gonna get somewhere soon.
Right now, my website is set up with posts through the middle of the month. Patreon is… not. But I will get everything in order for that as well.
(and if you’re at the $10 tier on Patreon and want to take advantage of the Hire The Stitch stuff, please do! The instructions are in the pinned post on Patreon. I believe!)
Anyway, thank you all so much for sticking around!
Let me know if there’s anything you need from me and I’ll handle it!
