So I’m watching Thor: Ragnarok, since I have to do something while I work now that Twitter is currently not an option for me and… I really love this film. It’s fun, it’s weird, and it’s something that does not actually require a lot of effort on my part to engage with.
Beyond that, however, I was reminded of how ridiculous the hate for this film was from die-hard Loki stans who missed that this was actually some of the best treatment Loki’d gotten since the first Thor film.

Throroro is the best ship you’re probably not shipping.
A non-canon ship courtesy of Marvel fandom’s penchant for shipping everything under the sun, pairing up Thor and Ororo just sort of makes sense when you think about it. Thor’s a lightning “god” from Asgard with biceps for days and a heart of gold while Ororo is basically a weather goddess who could change the entire world if she felt like it.
While they aren’t a canon ship, they’ve got a ton of potential as a totally electric ship and a small but dedicated fanbase. Read More »

The left heel on Ororo Munroe’s favorite pair of purple stiletto boots snaps on her way down the stairs of her 9AM history class.
Ororo pitches forward, arms windmilling about as she tries to snag hold of anything — or anyone — that can stop her fall, but her fingers slide over the railing on the nearby wall as though it’s not even there and at first glance, it looks like all of her remaining classmates are too far away to be very helpful.
Ororo squeezes her eyes shut in preparation for a painful tumble down the stairs and says a silent prayer of thanks to whatever force in the universe was behind her leaving her laptop back in the dorms.

Normally, relying on her instincts has always served Ororo Monroe well.
When floorboards in the quiet farmhouse creak in the minutes just after midnight, Ororo awakens instantly. Comixology currently has a bunch of Marvel Firsts out for series that I’ve been meaning to check out. Out of the eight books offered in the past four weeks (from Black Widow to She-Hulk to Prince Leia), I got three books that I had wanted to buy. At ninety-nine cents each, they were a steal and I think that even if I didn’t enjoy any of them, it’d still be a good bargain.
But what’s great is that I did like all three of the books I picked up from the sale and I want to talk a bit about that!
