After her death, Daisy Heidi is reincarnated into the world of “Why Did the Duke’s Daughter Roll Across the Pumpkin Patch?”, a so-called “tragedy” novel where the beautiful heroine Pierta indulges in reckless lust and hedonism with ten ardent suitors to a bitter end. Though Daisy is reborn as a poor commoner in this world, she has one distinct advantage over others in her second chance at life — she’s the author of the original novel! When fate brings Daisy into the lives of the novel’s heroine Pierta and her dashing father Duke Henstone, Daisy vows to do everything she can to prevent Pierta’s future of despair.
My Thoughts:
A huge reason why I’m focusing on Tricked into Becoming the Heroine’s Stepmother this week is because I needed a light and cute transmigration series for my agonies.
Tricked into Becoming the Heroine’s Stepmother is darn adorable and that’s even with an aggy overprotective dad hanging about. The other reason is because I’m super busy on my final day in my apartment so I can’t do The Remarried Empress like I’d originally planned!
But do not think that Tricked into Becoming the Heroine’s Stepmother is a poor second choice. Not at all. It’s one of the cutest webtoons I’ve read thanks in part to the adorable duke’s daughter Pierta. I love kidfic, single parent _____ stories, and “reincarnated as the ____’s child” webtoons and so this story is catnip for me. I am so pleased with it and Pierta is just… my favorite? She’s a pumpkin-obsessed baby and I cannot make the connection between her and the hedonistic character Daisy originally wrote for the novel. Thanks to Daisy and Duke Henstone’s refusal to let things play out the same way they did in the original novel, I won’t ever have to do that?
Anyway, this is a quick and dirty installment of this series so for once we’re going into this Head Empty ™. I’m really fond of this series and I’m looking forward to the second season!! It’s one of the more engaging transmigration series out there and I had a lot of fun with it!! If you like the same cute fluff with a surprise plot twists that I do… you’ll like this series? If you yeeted yourself out of Buddy Daddies because of the kidlets… maybe don’t read this one?
Next time, I become an apologist for my favorite empress!
