Official Summary:

Minami has awful luck with men—she falls for their looks only to find that they’re the worst of the worst. So when she finds out that her next work assignment involves a good-looking, rude-off-the-bat man, she feels just fine about kissing any feelings for him goodbye…that is, until she finds out he’s the son of the author of her favorite childhood picture book series, Bride of the Vampire. But the rude son soon changes his tune, and Minami doesn’t have long before she discovers the secret his gorgeous lips hide…

Thinky Thoughts

In unsurprising news, I got into this series because I saw the hot main characters and went feral. Minami is everything to me. She’s so soft, squishy, and lightly cringe. I want to kiss all of her moles – and she has many

This Vampire Won’t Give Up is really a largely light and fluffy contemporary supernatural romance – more paranormal romance than urban fantasy – and it hinges on the developing relationship between a vampire-obsessed manga editor and the son of the vampire author that changed her life. It’s just a very sweet series, one that shows a wildly realistic relationship development with anxiety and desire and fear.

I honestly don’t have a ton to say about it because it’s just such a concise, well-done series that my Thinky Thoughts are mainly “okay and so now we must all write this shit”. Because it is soooo satisfying to watch Minami’s relationship with Takumi develop. It’s so warm and sweet and sexy.

I will say that the closest I come to a complaint is that there are two pairings I wish got developed into something: Takumi’s younger brother is in a relationship with a human and then that human’s big sister could probably link up well with the werewolf that shows up in the series. Oh, also, Takumi’s parents are hot and clearly still fucking. I want more stories set in this world!
